Didn't Wrightbus make both the WV's and AW's? Both of which were the first 00's vehicles to be withdrawn/sold for scrap
Indeed! and in the WV's case the problems were nothing to do with Wrightbus. Having been on them the bodies were pretty durable body wise especially considering the overcrowding they dealt with for many years on a daily basis.   I'm sure VWL119 will back me up by saying the Volvo B6BLE was the problem with the WV class, as it was quite simply a terrible chassis. The DPC's were a far worse bus than the WV's in many areas, a crap chassis with a crap body that started to be withdrawn after just six years service, just search this board to see there is no love lost over the DPC's going for some they stuck around for too long.

As for the artics I did not see much wrong with them myself, and I used them every day, yes they were more awkward to maintain than a normal bus, but at the same time we have nothing to compare them with, I guess you can compare them with bendy Citaros to a degree, although saying that the 2002 ones that worked the Car Park Shuttles at Dublin Airport lasted about 9 months at Luton Airport before getting kicked out and replaced with AW type vehicle. There is no Alexander Dennis articulated vehicle that they have ever produced,, so we'll never know how other articulated vehicles would get on the streets of Dublin.

I know that you and the vast majority of the people who work in Phibsborough/Broadstone hate Wright products and think they're cheap and nasty, but not everyone does and it's about time that DB started listening to their passengers, and their staff and other garages rather than the the tech department there seeming to be the only ones who have an input.
