The city buses and the commuter coaches are NTA funded and consequently cannot be used on non PSO services (i.e. Expressway), same deal as with the commuter LCs, SCs and LDs.

The other coaches are from the company's own funds and they can use these buses as they please.

The commuter coaches as we know will be SCs, so that will give us SC283-307.

What we still don't know is the bodywork for the others.

The decker coaches are supposed to be LDs, and the triaxles are also Scania/Irizars, but I don't know what engine or gearbox they went for, nor whether or not they went for the i6 or the PB body. My guess is they went for something similar to the tours vehicles Ulsterbus have recently taken (i6s, Opticruise and ca 400 hp 13 litre engine).

I don't know anything about the citybuses either, but I would be surprised if it was anything other than another VWL and VWD, with the revised Eclipse 2 and Gemini 2 bodies. ADL was mentioned as a possibility, but given that they didn't bother with midibuses (which ADL would probably have won the order for if they were buying them) and the other orders are BÉ going back to being conservative and buying what they like best, I think it is far more likely that we are getting a revised VWL and VWD.
