Wouldn't the Carrigrohane P&R just be the 220 that we get every Christmas? Loadings on the 220 never justifed deckers even at Christmas time, so a VWL or SL should be more than sufficient for that. The 111 most certainly does justify deckers during peak hours, to be honest the 111 is an example of what happens when a Park and Ride service is done properly.

Great to know that the new single deckers will indeed be VWLs, this will give us VWL193-217.

I hope that Wrights will build this batch to a higher standard than the 08 VWLs as these seem to be the least hard wearing of the lot (though the dealer stock ones are worse again but of course they were not made to company spec and BÉ normally go for high spec vehicles), if they were built to the standard the VWDs or older VWLs then they will be a very good bus.

I would find it very hard to believe that having gone for the VWL for the single decks that they didn't go for VWDs for the double decks, so I think it's fairly safe to assume we will be getting VWD11-20 as well, and I hope they are as good as the current batch, the only thing I don't like about the current batch are the seats so if they could put the seats from the 08 VWLs into the new VWDs then we would have the perfect decker. The 310 hp engine would be nice too, as the VWDs could do with a small bit of extra shove for Cork's hills (they are hardly what you'd call slow but when fully laden they aren't the quickest taking off on a hill), though the 260 hp engine in the current batch is more than up to the job and I'm not going to get upset if they don't go for the higher horsepower engine.
