They're cheap for a reason Redsmiley: pimp!

A Volvo is a much better bus in every way that matters. Well, apart from the wonky fuel gauges I supposesmiley: laugh. While some of the soon to be ex-Capwell VWLs look fairly ropey they have always been extremely well cared for mechanically, plus like I say they are Volvos and are well able for the abuse. When you think about it those buses have spent up to nearly 13 years pounding up and down hills and they're still going strong. A Merc or an Optare or a Dennis/ADL bus wouldn't be like that - sure some of the Darts Cork had were withdrawn before they even got to seven years on the roadsmiley: eek! They'll have a very easy life in Galway compared to Cork as there are no hills. The only bad VWL that will soon be up for sale is VWL104 (although the diff in VWL102 could do with being quitened down as well), it's even slower than a DD, the rest of them are great buses! I know I'm engaging in serious wishful thinking, but I would love to see some of the soon to be ex-Cork VWLs stay on in Ireland doing decent amounts of service work - those buses will last another few years no problem if they are given the TLC those 00 VWLs that are in the new livery have gotten.
