Leasing could be a clever move I must say. Given that funding approval could not be obtained from central government to purchase tours buses on the back of the McCarthy Report, Leasing could be a clever short term solution. The lease charges would be covered by the revenue generated by the coaches and they could be leased for a short period. For instance, Bernard Kavanaghs/Eirebus last year leased a number of VanHool coaches form Arriva in the UK to cover tour duties for a 3 month period and returned them when the season ended.

The only danger would for me be that was there not an instance in the past where BE leased coaches and returned them at the end of the lease in such a poor condition that they either had to buy them or couldn't lease form that company again? I think I remember some story to that effect but can't remember all of the details.
