Would it not have been better to leave VWD3 on the 208, since that is if you like a 'new' VWD because it's only a few months since it got a new engine? In relation to 9 and 10, it looks like at least one of those is going, since the new allocation is going to have five VWLs, so that means only five VWDs can remain, and who knows, both of them might go, it may be just 11-14 that are staying on.

The truth is that while I maintain that the 208 should be all decker operated, other routes need them more based on the current loadings. Making the route partly (or mostly) single deck and maintaining the 10 minute frequency is preferable to cutting the route back to 15 minutes and having it decker operated. It's a pity that it isn't doing better loadings wise, but you reap what you sow and no deckers for 12 years at all has really taken its toll. Shiny new buses were all well and good, but they're SFA good when they couldn't carry enough people. We really missed out on not having Olympians that's for sure.

I think the 205 is getting four deckers, that's real progress for sure, after all that's what VWDs 3 and 4 came down for in the first place. Great to see the 214 having deckers too, although the 202 could certainly do with some as well (doesn't deserve them though).

I thought the 215 can't have deckers for the moment because of low lying trees in Kileens? I would love to see it happen though, loadings are strong on this route. Just hoes to show the benefits of an easy to remember timetable over the old system for Blarney/Cloghroe.

What's going to happen the SLs on the 214 now?

Just to summarise, the changes mean the following allocations:

205 - VWD3,7,8, VWL159
208 - VWL158, 302, 303, 305, 306, probably VWD11-14 as well (minimum)
214 - DD17 (mornings only)
215 - VWL307-311
219 - VWL301, 304
232 - VWD5, 6

At the moment, VWDs 4 and 9-14 are of no fixed abode.
