I can't see Limerick giving up SEs for SPs, but we shall wait and see. I wonder will there be any orders announced soon? The time for ordering more VWDs is running out rapidly, and the Euro 6 version has only got a 5.1 litre engine, as opposed to the current model's properly large 9.4 litre capacity. Also Euro 6 buses will be £10,000 minimum extra per bus over the Euro 5 equivalent in the UK, so it will be a lot more expensive to order Euro 6 models (in addition to some of them being woefully underpowered). They will have DPFs (which have been a disaster in cars that are used in constant low speed and/or gentle driving), EGR valves, SCR (although they say that AdBlue consumption will be down a lot compared to Euro 5 and even Euro 4), and so many other technological features I can see these being very troublesome for the first few years until the mechanics and engineers get used to the technology.

Another change with Euro 6 is that they have to meet a certain level of emissions standards for what they're calling the 'vehicle operating life', which means the engine has to meet ultra low emissions standards for the first 700,000 km of operation.
