LCs would be a complete disaster, do they really want something that could break down while on tours, something that will more than likely happen if they order LCs or any rubbish on the VDL chassis.

SCs on the 13 litre expess bus chassis and not the commuter 9 litre chassis that underpins the SCs at the moment wouldn't be bad either, but would need to be a better spec than the T21 SCs.

I don't think the reliability of the newer Scanias is that impressive, a lot of the SCs are starting to sound bad already(SC224 was dreadful today), and I don't mean bad as in roaring which is only a fan to cool down the engine, they sound like all is not well mechanically.

Volvos could be good if chosen with decent bodywork, they are a more attractive proposition now that the B12B has thankfully been replaced with the B13R, Plaxtons have always been good so they have to be a runner, I believe Volvo's in house bodies are among the best and the Jonckherre is meant to be good and solid but it is highly likely to be a very conservative order especially when they are in financial difficulty so my guess is that if they want Volvos they will want them on Plaxton bodywork.

You'd have to say that Scania would be the definite favourite though, but these things always throw up surprises!
