That wouldn't be the first time that Volvo tried to lose sales for themselves.

Anyone remember what happened when the B7L came out in 2001, and before that when they 'phased out' the Cummins engines in the Olympian, claiming that the N11 couldn't fit in the engine bay(even though Stagecoach showed that Volvo were lying)?

Volvo make some great buses(and some terrible ones but the only bad one left these days is the B7R and that is fine for what it was meant for), it's just a pity they seem to be completely unaware of what their main clients want at times.
