I would agree about LD's on the 226A , the thing to remember about the 226A is that most passengers heading to the airport are not air passengers , its mostly airport staff and people working in the business park that make up the big loads using that service so luggage is not really an issue , an LD between the airport and the city center would be a good fit , but from the airport to Kinsale an LD would struggle with the poor roads.
Fully agree the merging of the 226 and 249 was not a good fit , it is likely that in the next few years loadings for the airport business park will increase , while Kinsale did need a frequency increase , the frequency requirement at the airport will grow well beyond the the demand that Kinsale will generate , I suspect this will cause severe capacity issues further down the line.
