If the Cork-Clonmel-Kilkenny journeys on route 7 are discontinued Ballyporeen, Clogheen  and Ardfinnan in South County Tipp will have no service southwards, just the Ringalink service northwards into Clonmel.

Perhaps there is a need for an extension of one or two route 245 journeys beyond Mitchelstown to Clonmel to serve these locations.

Wonder too will the limited number of route 7s serving Carlow remain. The 06.45 Clonmel-Carlow is very busy arriving into Carlow during term-time (Institute of Technology in Carlow). This journey is unique in that it serves Muine Bheag (Bagenalstown) but there is no southbound return service.

There was apparently a plan two years ago of discontinuing the majority of route 7s serving Carrick-on-Suir but that plan must have been subsequently dropped.
