Ah fair enough, I was beginning to wonder what these routes you were talking about were, because I've never heard anyone refer to city routes in Galway by the official route number, only Limerick bother doing that, and I don't really see the point tbh, a lot of older people in Limerick still don't understand the routes even though they've displayed the official route number for ten years now(it came in the time the low floors were bought under the NDP in 2000).

I agree about the alpha suffixes, there really is no need for them unless it is a seperate route that is closely related to the main route, like the 10A in Cork which goes from the city centre to Mahon Point, same as the regular 10 but it goes via the Boreenmana Road instead of via Ballinlough.

Just putting up the destination should be sufficient really.

Speaking of which, I don't like the way Waterford put a 'C' after every city route either, does BÉ think Waterford people are less intelligent than those in Cork?

Cork has an Express route 7 and 8 as well as city routes 7 and 8 and you don't exactly see people in Parnell Place or in Pana getting the city and Express routes mixed up!

Limerick and Cork don't quite have 301-399 and 201-299 respectively, Cork shares its route numbers with Kerry, while routes in the 300 series can be found in Waterford, Tipp, Kilkenny and Wexford.

The 400 series cover all of the West of Ireland and parts of the Midlands too.
