We all live in hope, but I can't see Souter selling his shares unless he gets a good sum for them, and any money he gets for the business will more than cancel out the cash he might have to spend on vehicles for a number of years.

Also it's likely if Souter does sell up, that the new owners won't want to lose that contract and I can't see pricing changing much for stagecoach from ADL at least in the short term.

Volvo buying ADL though wouldn't be a good move either, to see the two biggest chassis builders being in common ownership, not sure if that is good news or not for Scania, Optare and Mercedes.
