At the Euro Coach Expo here in the NEC in Birmingham today. Just speaking to an Irish operator who had been out around some of the mian dealers in the UK over the last day or 2. He told me that in Volvo's new coach sales base near Coventry there are some interesting new Irish trade-ins. He spotted ex Callinan Volvo B12BT VanHool (think it's 06G612) and 2 ex Bernard Kavanagh Eurolines liveried vehicles - Volvo B12B Jonckheere Mistral (think it's 06KK722 or someting like that!) and a Scania Irizar PB (He said it was an 07D reg in Eurolines Cork/London livery). He said the dealership staff told him all 3 had arrived over the last few weeks. Any word what new vehicles these guys have bought?
Also spotted in Manchester at the weekend were a pair of Volvo Jonckheere triaxles, the same type as the Aircoach vehicles, one white & one in Eurolines livery. both had Irish plates, think the white one was 08G6700 / 08G6900 or something like that (met it in traffic, couldn't get a good look!). I assume these vehicles are with Callinan but I knew nothing about them before seeing them. Anyone know what the score on them is? Are they based in the UK for the Eurolines services or what??
